UTR Summer Camp Revisions Due to COVID-19

  1. Unfortunately, we will not allow daily drop ins.  All students must be registered for the week and days of the week they plan to come so they can be placed in the proper group according to UTR.

  2. We will not offer before and after care this summer.  Camp will begin at 9am and end at 4pm. Students can arrive at 845am and must be picked up no later than 4.15pm.  XS does offer 4pm and 5pm classes during the summer. If your child needs to stay beyond 4pm, consider enrolling in an afternoon class.

  3. Players will be placed in training pods of not more than 4 students.

  4. Every child will have their temperature checked via a touchless thermometer upon drop off and any students with a fever will not be able to attend camp until they are 72 hours fever free without medication.  

  5. Students must wear a mask when arriving at camp, walking to their court, and leaving their court to exit the building.

  6. Students must have a knapsack with a spare mask, hand sanitizer, and water bottle. This knapsack will stay with them at all times.

  7. In the past we have allowed students to place their lunches in the refrigerators. This summer students will be required to bring a cooled lunch sack, or cooler.

  8. Pick up and drop off will occur on the west side of the building at the entrance to the outdoor courts.

  9. A parent orientation will be held to walk through the arrival and dismissal process.

  10. Groups will have 1 of the 5 turf fields designated for fitness.

  11. Students may register for full day or either half day sessions. 

  12. Markers will be used during feeding drills to ensure of proper spacing.  Every POD will have their own basket of balls to limit the number of hands touching their balls.

  13. Drop off and pick up will have specific routes that will be mapped out and marked throughout the campus.

  14. A parent orientation will be held to walk through the arrival, dismissal, and lunch process.

10-12pm Drills and Ball Control

12-1pm Lunch on the designated field which will have marked spots for each student to sit that’s 6ft away from thee next student.

1pm-4pm Point situations and match play

  14. The academic/enrichment activities will be held on the mini tennis courts (7,700 sq ft) instead of the classrooms to allow for student distancing.

  15. There will be no field trips this summer as we cannot control the cleanliness of the buses, and places that would have been visited.  Instead, we will have fun workshops and activities that are mobile and can come to the XS Tennis Village.

Sports and Enrichment Camp

Due to COVID-19, tennis will be the only sport offered this summer as it provides natural social distance and prevents children from touching each other and sharing equipment.  The academic/enrichment activities will take place in a manner that spaces all participants 6ft apart. There will be no field trips this summer as we cannot control the cleanliness of the buses, and places that would have been visited. Instead, we will have fun workshops and activities that are mobile and can come to the XS Tennis Village. A parent orientation will be held to walk through the arrival, dismissal, and lunch process.
